California Plug-In Electric Vehicle (PEV) Collaborative, Best.Ride.EVer! at the 24th Annual Automobile Heritage Day Festival & Car Show
August 21, 2015
The PEV Collaborative launched its ride-and-drive campaign called Best. Ride. EVer! in San Diego County's National City at their 24th Annual Automobile Heritage Day Festival & Car Show on Saturday, Aug. 8 with more than 60 test drives.
More than 40 surveys were collected to determine drive-to-purchase metrics
Our survey data showed:
44% of respondents had a “very positive” perception of EVs in the pre-survey and 82% had a “very positive” perception in the post-survey;
97% of respondents had a “very positive” or “somewhat positive” perception of EVs in the post-survey;
77% of respondents had never driven an EV before;
82% of respondents use a gas powered car as their most frequent mode of transportation;
85% of respondents are “more likely” to buy an EV after driving one;
When asked if they were to buy an EV, which kind would they buy: 21% responded with pure electric and 49% responded with plug-in hybrid;
27 respondents provided an email address for a follow-up survey (to be entered to win an Apple iWatch!)
Frequently Asked Questions we were:
How much do the cars cost?
What cars are available?
What is the difference between a pure battery car and a plug-in hybrid?
What is the range? How far can I go?
Where would I charge and how much does it cost?
